      <description>You will want a fairly high end lap-top to keep up with GIS. The aerial photography used as the base layer for many maps can take a long time to refresh if you have a slow computer.</description>

      <description>I am currently in the market for a new laptop computer and simultaneously looking into a graduate program in Geography which would involve classes in GIS.  I have not used GIS before so I am an uber-newbie but I'd appreciate advice from some of you more knowledgable folks out there.  As far as laptops and computers in general go, what basic requirements would be essential to running ArcGIS?  Are there any models/brands/processors that anyone cares to recommend?  Thanks!</description>
